I agree with Shami Chakrabarti claiming that the prisoners are not learning much of their experience in prison the reason they reoffend when they leave, and that reminded me with what the teacher said at the Scrubs that when a prisoner start improving in the educational process he might unexpectedly get moved- by a higher authority- to somewhere else- or perhaps released before he fully “recovers”! So the “justice” system seems to be doing well when employing staffs who try their best to prepare the prisoners to be “good citizens”, but then that is exposed to failure by the “political” system- which is mainly concerned about the money spent- (if I used the right phrases!)
