There is a talk tomorrow (sorry for late notice, also it is a bit pricey…) with Bifo and others which looks pretty interesting – discussing in relation to performance ideas of collective/collaborative/participatory practices etc….see below
One often hears the word ‘common’ invoked pejoratively in snobbish dismissals of the values of the people, sometimes echoed in the negative assumptions about popular cultural pleasures in academic art history and performance studies. During this final day of talks at Toynbee Theatre, our contributors will think more positively about the values of commonality in contemporary performance and culture. Focusing upon broadly anti-elitist, and inclusive forms of practice, this day will explore the democratic promise of performance. Issues of collective and collaborative working practices; performance artists and community participation; popular performance and its audiences, and the commonalities between performers and their audiences, will variously be addressed in order to ask how an attention to shared values might revivify the contemporary cultural politics of participation.

Will try and record it

Visited Alcatraz today but I still prefer staying at Wormwood Scrubs.
